Auction Day (2010)

Another homage to my years tromping about antique auctions. Really went to town with the grass in this one – it’s like soldiers falling out of step to cross a bridge. It can be too tempting to impose order, or rather a human conception of order, on what should be very chaotic. We’re getting there.

It captures the feel of the auction day. Looking at people’s old furniture in long grass brings back lots of memories for me too.
